Description Wallace Lai 2007-09-26 15:19:26 UTC
Enhancement Request:

This user routinely watch DVDs on a PC. The quality of sound from a sound card is no where near that of SqueezeBox.
Is there a way to make SlimServer and SqueezeBox stream the audio tracks from a DVD?

Do you mean directly from the DVD? I don't think so. Otherwise you could rip the audio from the DVD in a format that SlimServer can stream. Keep in mind that this may or may not be legal where you are. One could also pass the DVD audio file without conversion through SlimServer and use an external AC3/DTS decoder using the technique outlined in this thread http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19260
