Description Stuart Beesley 2004-09-14 14:08:49 UTC
Got stuck in a loop when searched for a song, the SB displayed a quick message
to say that SB signal lost and then it said that song was not found. At this
point it showed a "no songs of this name" type message and no key strokes would
get the SB free. After a reboot, I was stuck at the same place. After several
reboots, it freed up.

Most of this makes sense, becuase if the server gets bogged down or stuck in a
search, it will no know that the squeezebox had rebooted. This will cause the
server to continue as though the squeezebox was always connected, thus, the same
place. After a few resets of squeezebox, enough time had clealry passed that
the server had finished whatever loop it got stuck in.

can you try to reproduce this with d_info turned on, and paste that log?

part of this problem is likely due to time needed to search songs. Grabbing a
song from a high level search with the current system works through only about
100 songs each second. 10k songs would easily leave a squeezebox waiting for
nearly 2 minutes. By then, its sure to think the server is lost. SQL backend
will hopefully make this kind of searching far faster.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
