Bad error message with Rhapsody and slimserver
Last modified: 2008-12-18 11:12:53 UTC
System Info: Gateway, P4, 1.97 GHz, 1.25 GB of RAM, Win 2K SP4 ENU on VMWare, IE 6, Java enabled, VERSION INFO SlimServer Version: 7.0 - 13131 - Windows 2000 - EN - cp1252 Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt Note: It is 2007-09-20 today. However, this bug was on previous builds also. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download today's SlimServer 7.0a1 and install it. 2. On the settings wizard, key in all neccsary information, including email address and password for SqueezeNetwork. 3. The wizard would say something like Successfully connected to SqueezeNetwork. 4. After the settings wizard is done, go to "Music on Demand" and click "Rhapsody Direct". 5. The next page says "Rhapsody Error", and "Please login to SqueezeNetwork to use Rhapsody". 6. Click the link "Please login to SqueezeNetwork to use Rhapsody". (It is a link. Mouse poiter turns into finger when mousing over the line.) 7. Notice nothing happens. Work Around: Type "http://localhost:9000/classic" into the address field of IE. Use the "Switch to SqueezeNetwork" link there.
Wallace, can you still reproduce this issue?
Andy to change the error message to something that makes more sense to a user. This bug can be marked as fixed when the error message is changed.
Fixed, this error is now: "Missing or invalid SqueezeNetwork account. Please check your settings and try again."
This bug is being closed since it was resolved for a version which is now released! Please download the new version of SqueezeCenter (formerly SlimServer) at http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html If you are still seeing this bug, please re-open it and we will consider it for a future release.
