Description Tim 2007-09-02 23:26:41 UTC
Description of Problem:
After installation or executing SlimTray, I receive the following error message:

SlimTray.exe entry point not found
The procedure entry point Process32Next could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll.

SlimTray DOES NOT LOAD and is not in the system tray.

How this problem came about:
1. On NT 4.0 Server, version 6.5.1 was running fine.
2. Installed 6.5.4
3. When SlimTray executed, above error message resulted

Uninstalled. Tried installing 6.5.1 -- failed. Tried 6.5.4 again -- also failed. Then tried BETA SlimServer_6.5_v2007-09-02.exe -- also failed.

severity = blocker is only to be used when a bug blocks development work.

"entry point not found" is likely due to an incompatible library somewhere. Perhaps the perl builder no longer supports what is available in NT4.
Comment 2 Chris Owens 2007-09-18 11:59:06 UTC
NT 4.0 is no longer officially supported. Slimserver will likely run without Slimtray.
