Description Caleb Crome 2007-09-01 14:53:59 UTC
Currently, it seems that the jive sound effects happen when some action is taken, as opposed to when the buttons are pressed. This leads to many double presses on buttons, because you think the software somehow missed the button press. For example, you Browse -> Artists. Artists can take quite some time to load up, so it may be a couple of seconds between the button press, and the 'click' that represents that you're entering artists. This leads to pressing again (and maybe again), and you end up playing stuff you don't want to.

All button clicks should really be *button* clicks -- i.e. not temporally distinguishable from the dome-switch click. Same with wheel motion.

This requires refactoring the way that jive handles events. I'll look at this after my vacation.

Fixed in r907. The sound effects now happen when you press the button, and are no longer tied to the window transitions.
