Description Caleb Crome 2007-09-01 14:45:06 UTC
Currently, you need to completely re-enter a search. This is tedious if you want to research on the same thing you did before.

For example, say you do a search on "Elvis". Then you go play something. Then you go and browse around the interface. When you get back to search because you want some more elvis tunes, you need to re enter the search.

Also, I bet it's quite common for people to re-search over and over on the same topics.

This a good idea, but an enhancement on the original specification.

Reset priority

I've added this for local SC searches (by SBC only) in 7.1 SC change 20001.

The array of recent searches is not stored to disk, so after restart of SC, the recent search list is lost.

So...probably room for improvement yet, but it's there and it works, so that's something :)

7.1 SC change 20045 adds:

allow OPMLBased searches (the core set now being rhapsody, slacker, LMA, MP3tunes, Live365 and RadioTime) to also cache queries
automagically add "Recent Searches" menu item to top menu as well as Music Library->Search after a search has been made

Dean, I'm cc:ing you as an FYI. Take a look at this feature with an up-to-date 7.1 SqueezeCenter (there were no jive-side changes for this).
