When browsing the music library you should be able to distinguish songs from directories from 
playlists by some iconography.  This should work in both the web and player UI.

Agree.  Would love to see this as it would help a great deal when browsing music! This relates a bit to another bug I just submitted: Bugzilla 2604 https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2604
