Description Jim McAtee 2007-08-19 14:53:40 UTC
When I do a basic search and click an artist name in the album or track results, SlimServer displays the artist's album page in list view, even if gallery view is the current setting. Advanced search seems to work OK and links under basic search's artist results work OK.

Even once you get to the artist page, clicking the artist link continues to display the list view. The actual setting never changes - going back out and browsing albums or artists shows that it's still set to gallery mode.

Same in 7.0.

get rid of the search override and block artowrk when query is present.

the problem is that the artwork param is used for setting layout style, which means the album search results would show in gallery view. It is a legacy feature to require presisting the artwork param through for support of pages that don't handle the gallery cookie or need a direct override of the layout.

However, this fix should manage to bypass the search level results and still allow the carryover for any sort of override.

only tested with trunk.

fixed in trunk at change 12722, please reopen if there are any issues or if for some reason we want this ported for a 6.5.5 release.
