Per noah:  The text would appear then when the sound queues up the text would glow..

The existing boot screens and timings are placeholders. I was already planning on reimplementing them.

The startup sound and the splash screen now happen (nearly) at the same time, not like the long delay when this bug was filed. We don't need a second splash screen here now imho.
