Description Rob Hall 2007-08-07 07:56:14 UTC
When viewing an album (or browsing albums 1by1) using the Nokia770 skin, it only seems to use the AlbumArtSmall.jpg and not the Folder.jpg for displaying the cover. Other skins do not have this problem and Nokia770 works fine with 6.5b2. When showing larger images of an album cover it should use the Folder.jpg (200x200 typically) rather than the AlbumArtSmall.jpg which is used for thumbnails (75x75).

This is actually completely reworked and fixed already in SS7, and uses server-side resizing (defaults to 250x250). Further, in SS7 Touch and Nokia770, artwork can actually be dynamically resized via Shrink/Enlarge links found in the upper left of the 1-by-1 browse pages. FURTHER, the SS7 behavior on these pages has been enhanced--if you click on an album cover it brings up a track listing, which you can choose individual songs to add to your playlist.

Isn't the Nokia 770 skin written specifically for Nokia 770?
I found a few issues with this skin on PC before, only to be informed that this is for a phone.

On PC, maybe we should either disable it or point it to the default screen or something.

The skin actually works great on a browser. What it doesn't work well on is a crappy browser (re: Internet Explorer). But, there is code in slimserver that redirects a user from Nokia770 to Touch automatically if they are trying to access Nokia770 from IE.

Just as an FYI, contrary to what you'd think based on the brand, the Nokia 770 isn't a phone. The 770 (and the newer N800 now) are "internet tablets". In essence they are little tiny flash based computers running a custom Linux OS. It has wifi, web browser, email client, and multimedia capabilities.

I raised the record against PC because it is against the SlimServer software which I have installed on a PC. However the problem I was seeing, was browsing the Nokia770 web interface on a Nokia N800, hope that clears it up.
