Description Martin Stabenfeldt 2007-07-24 10:27:02 UTC
It detects my network and that it uses WPA2 Personal encryption. (Airport Extreme).
I enter my password, and it connects and I let it ask for an DHCP provided IP.
The IP it obtains looks self-provided (169.254.), it´s not in my DHCP-scope.
It finds my Slimserver which is in an whole different network, 10.0.0.5.
When I try to connect to that SlimServer, it sais "connecting to wireless network, connection to Slimserver failed.
Same thing happend when trying to connecting to SqueezeNetwork. It says "connecting.. " for a few seconds before the
display goes black.
When pressing to right arrow it tries to connect to the wireless network again, then Squeezenetwork, finally a black
display.

How do I rollback the firmware?
Is the firmware provided by my SlimServer, does it matter which version SlimServer runs and which version I got on the Squeezebox?

Unlikely this is a real new bug since:
1) you are experimenting with much older version of slimserver (6.2)
2) you are in the process of debugging another issue and should really avoid diffusing the focus
3) 169.* is a self-assigned address, usually caused by failing to find the DHCP server. This indicates a network setup issue so this should be brought to the attention of support before filing bugs. (support@slimdevices.com) or leave it as part of the ongoing work on your existing bug report.

thanks.
