Description John Beckett 2004-08-25 16:41:28 UTC
This problem has been observed twice over a 7 hour period, ,varying the
playlists 2/3 times per hour.

Whilst trying to create playlists by adding several albums at a time (and with
the Squeeze Box playing), I have observed that the squeeze box stops and
displays that it is no longer talking to the server, the Web-Interface reports
that there is no page to display.

The folowing entry was observed in the Application section of the event viewer:

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be found.
The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message
DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use
the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for
details. The following information is part of the event: Can't use an
undefined value as a symbol reference at /PerlApp/Slim/Networking/Select.pm
line 162.
.

The problem can be worked around by re-starting the slim server

I believe that this has been fixed. Can you try grabbing the latest nightly and confirm?

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
