I can't get shn to play with squeezebox, eventhought it is a klickable option in server settings

this same thing happens sometimes in Linux too.  to get certain information
about a shorten file (duration included) the server has to decompress to
/dev/null and test the decompressed file. This has been the recommended method
according to Hydrogen Audio forums, but it does tend to be unreliable for some
shn files.  Thus, the server comes up with zero duration, and refuses to play
the file.

Shorten is unreliable and becoming obsolete.  I don't think we'll be able to fix this.  FLAC 
recommended.
