Steps to Reproduce:
1.  On a clean ghost of Win 2K SP4 ENU, install SlimServer 6.5.3, build 2007-05-23.
2.  After the installation, the getting started web page appears.
3.  Notice the version is still 6.5.2.

Is there a way to have some test items set to be "pre-release" only?  It usually takes a while for everyone to get around to incrementing version numbers just after an official release, so it will save writing a bunch of reports every release.  When it gets near to 6.5.3 (or even after an actual date is decided) is when stuff like this can be turned on again.  

eg: OSX PrefPane, changelog headers, copyrights, perl module headers, windows installer version.

These are templates aren't they?  Can't they be processed by the template toolkit and do a variable substitution for the SS version?
