Bugzilla – Bug 4995
Localization: Hebrew: Uninstall pages are in left to right format.
Last modified: 2008-11-06 07:49:07 UTC
Steps: 1. On an XP SP2 PC with Hebrew support, install the Hebrew version of SlimServer 6.5.2, build 2007-05-11. 2. All sentences are from right to left. 3. Ask a friend who knows Hebrew. This is the correct way. 4. Uninstall SlimServer. 5. Notice on every page, all sentences are from left to right. Periods and question marks are on the right hand sides too.
Unable to attach screen shots. Bugzilla keeps giving this user this message: undef error - Undefined subroutine Fh::slice at data/template/template/en/default/global/hidden-fields.html.tmpl line 58 Help please.
Not a very serious bug if the uninstall screens look somewhat wonky. I'm happy to move this one to 7.0 if it's at all difficult, Michael. However, if it's super-easy let's fix it for 6.5.2. Please let me know. Thanks!
I doubt we can do anything here: we're not creating those dialogs ourselfs, but it's done by the installer. AFAIK we only provide what should be displayed, but not how to do this. We should probably contact the makers of the installer.
Ok, here's the "official" statement of the gui who did the rtl patch for InnoSetup (http://www.parmaja.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=49): "1 - Uninstall not multi language it is save the language from the setup, so i can detect the codepage of language used because not saved, may be must it is support it in offical innosetup before make it rtl." All I understand is, he can't do it. IMHO really a minor issue - who's going to uninstall SlimServer anyway :-)

We depend on the installer product. Nothing we can fix ourselfs. And its author is well aware of the problem.
Fixed in 6.5.2, which is now released and available for download at http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html If you're still experiencing this bug, please re-open it!
Hey ... not so fast! This one has not been fixed, and it's not easy to fix. It still exists in 6.5.2. Mickey
removing 6.5.2 target as it's meaningless now.
We'll consider this again once HE is officially supported.
