Bugzilla – Bug 4990
SlimTray's menu does not pop up any more.
Last modified: 2009-09-08 09:12:09 UTC
System Info: Gateway, P4, 2 GHz, 1.25 GB of RAM, XP SP2 ENU SlimServer Version: 6.5.2 - 11968 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252 Server IP address: 10.0.3.69 Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt 1. On a clean ghost of XP SP2 ENU, install SlimServer 6.5.2, build 2007-05-11. 2. Right click or left click the SlimTray icon. Notice there is no menu appears. Work Around: Double click the desktop icon. Or use CLI.
I looked through recent svn changes, but didn't see anything that might have caused this. Help!
Adrian, did you break this? :)
However since it doesn't cause a crash it's not technically critical.
Chris, I would disagree with you regarding criticality. Slimtray is completely useless if it doesn't display it's menu. What purpose does it serve in it's current state beyond showing that the server is running?
it's a major loss of function, and labelled as such. Let's not waste time griping about a pulldown and let ppl work. thanks.
I believe this is fixed by change 11986 - currently being tested.
Verified the fix with SlimServer 6.5.2, build 2007-05-14 on Xp SP2 ENU. Bug as written is no longer seen. Regression tests around SlimTray find nothing broken because of this fix. Marking as fixed.
Marking as "VERIFIED".
Closing.
