Bugzilla – Bug 4963
InstallShield: Hebrew: Some translated strings are not Hebrew.
Last modified: 2009-09-08 09:16:33 UTC
System Info: XP SP2 ENU Steps to Reproduce: 1. On a clean XP SP2 ENU system with Hebrew support, change the language to Hebrew. 2. Install SlimServer 6.5.2, build 2007-05-03. 3. Select Hebrew has the language. 4. Look at every InstallShield screen. All strings have been translated. 5. However, notice some strings are not in Hebrew. Please see the attached screen shots for more detail. The questionable strings are circled in red.

Bad encoding of the strings file. Not only Hebrew, but German as well.
Ouch: InnoSetup does _not_ support Unicode. Dean?
Change 11909: added a new Hebrew.isl and hopefully fixed the non-latin character issue. I'm not sure about Hebrew, though. Please test. Thanks!
Hopefully fixed Hebrew in strings.iss as well (change 11921). Please test.
Verified the fixes with SlimServer 6.5.2, build 2007-05-08. Bug as written is no longer seen. According to Tomer, all install shield pages are in Hebrew now. However, the grammar is not right. The period on periods should be on the left of the sentences. Some words are not in the right order. I am logging another bug for that. Regression tests found nothing is broken because of the new translation. I am marking this bug as FIXED, so that I can mark it as VERIFIED and CLOSED later.
Closing.
