Description Dan Evans 2007-04-16 11:10:27 UTC
We're getting reports from customers that the forced up/downgrade of firmware from SqueezeNetwork and 6.5.1 is having negative consequences. I don't know if this is caused by the repeated firmware changes, or the firmware itself.

Reports include: After many firmware up/downgrades...

 * The player will spontaneously factory reset, forcing the user to redo their connection settings. (I've personally seen this one --DanE)

 * The player will start spontaneously rebooting in the middle of a song.

 * The player will no longer allow static IPs. When entering static IPs the player will reboot at the end of the connection process. (DHCP still works)

Support will try to gather more details about this.

This should certainly be resolved with the 6.5.2 release. Please re-open if it is not.
