The Slimserver service is set to autostart on startup on my Windows XP machine. This fails, If it is manually started it says it is starting, but nether completes.
Have tried deleting the Cache directory and preferences file as per the FAQ but it makes no difference, even after a reboot!

This actually seems like more of a support issue.  Can you e-mail an event log dump to support@slimdevices.com?

To create it, click start, click run, type in 'eventvwr' and hit enter.  Then right click 'Application' on the left column, click 'Save log file as', save the .evt file somewhere, and e-mail it in.  I'll mark this as resolved-worksforme for now, but please send in the event log and we'll take it from there...
