Squeezebox fails to play many songs

I am using a third generation Squeezebox (S/N: 000420072AFS) with a Dell PC running Window XP Pro and SlimServer 6.5.1 using a Linksys WRT524GT router. Attempts to find help in the Wiki and in other bug reports have failed. My Squeezebox plays radio (via SlimServer and Squeezenetwork) without any problems. However only some of the songs in my iTunes library will play. I've tried looking for a common theme in the songs that don't play (bitrate, format, etc) but am unable to find any. All songs play in iTunes itself without any problems. When opening the 'SlimServer' window on my PC the song shows as playing. It also shows as 'Now Playing' on the SqueezeBox itself but fails to produce any sound. Additionally, the graphic equalizer-like screen saver fails to move. I have re-scanned my iTunes music library, also to no effect. Request assistance. Yours sincerely, Casey Jay Lewis
