Description David Balcom 2007-04-05 13:36:17 UTC
In Search Music, after returning a result, if you click the artist name, for example, "The Beatles", the result is not returned. The page remains blank and fails to load. Slimserver doesn't crash but nor does it return the intended result. CPU utilization during the behavior is nil.

Tested with Safari 2.0.4 and Firefox 2.0.x on OSX 10.4.9.

6.3.1 does not exhibit this behavior.

The Safari browser v1.3.2 on OSX 10.3.9 actually crashes if I hit the "Search Results".

I'll take a look.

David, I have not been able to duplicate what you describe with the information provided.

What I am doing is clicking Search Music from the SlimServer home page under Search. Then entering The Beatles in the dialog box. Once The Beatles is listed under Artist Matching I click on The Beatles and the get a listing of The Beatles albums in my library.

Is it when you click The Beatles that nothing happens or does a bank page come up?

Steven, that's exactly the use case. On OSX 10.4.x, SlimServer 6.5.1 and Safari 2.0.4, this activity would hang the browser, or rather the page wouldn't be returned.

Prior to installing SS 6.5.1 I deleted the Caches content. Anything else to try?

I posted to a forum link and one guy replied to confirm:

Comment 5 David Balcom 2007-04-11 09:07:33 UTC
I have not installed the 6.5.2 builds, so can't answer sorry.

Resolved in the new build, thank you for investigating.

Good to hear :) Marking as 'invalid' as this is an already resolved case.
