Description Wallace Lai 2007-04-05 11:39:19 UTC
System Info: Gateway, P4, 2.0 GHz, 1.25 GB of RAM, XP SP2 ENU, IE 6
Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt
SlimServer Version: 6.5.2 - 11726

1. On a clean ghost of XP SP2 ENU system, install SlimServer 6.5.2, build 2007-04-04.
2. Go to the Server Settings page.
3. On the first drop down menu, select "Behavior" or "Debug", or anything.
4. Notice nothing happens. The page remains in "Basic Settings". The line on top is still says "Basic Settings".
5. Go "Home" then select "Player Settings".
6. Select any item on the first drop down menu.
7. Notice nothing happens.

Work Around: None found.

I'm not seeing this. Wallace, could you try to reproduce this again please?

Not something I've seen either. Settings handling is also totally reworked for 7.0/trunk, so if there is some case where there is a rpoblem in 6.5.2, it is unlikely to be something anyone will deal with given the rework.

I am starting to think this may be the "stuck" http server that I've mentioned before. d_http if we see this one again.

...or it's just the user's disabled javascript in his browser...
Comment 5 Wallace Lai 2007-04-24 14:25:08 UTC
Chris and Michael are right. Lowering IE's security setting to Medium High solves the problem. Let's add this info to the "Getting Started" page. Closing as works for me.

Formally closing.
