Basically asking for a WWWW (long day of week) option in the "Server Settings | Formatting | Long Date Format" list

Or, for even more flexibility, why not allow users to specify their own date/time string formats in the same way that we can define our own Title Formats in Server Settings/Formatting.

That would allow you to have your WWWW and others to have any other variation that isn't quite catered for at the moment... to pick a random example, why can't I have

WWWW, MM DD
