It would be convenient to have a means to do an artwork only scan. Right now if you forget a cover for an album, run a new/changed scan, SlimServer will display and cache the "mising" artwork placeholder in the web ui. If you then add the coverart, it seems SlimServer can't find it until you run a full clear/scan. An artwork only scan should be a lot quicker in picking up new/changed coverart and would permit you to play music during the scan.

Chris I'll assign this one to you for future consideration.

Anyone else think this is still a _really_ good idea?

Missing artwork problems continue to be commonplace, if posts to the forums are any indication. Often due to aborted scans (which perhaps shouldn't be aborting, instead just logging errors), but also very often for seemingly no discernable reason. Being able to run a scan only for artwork for existing albums/tracks in the library would probably alleviate a lot of support issues.

i do.

i wish more people voted on here just in general however. at this point, i'm essentially waiting for 7.0 before i start clammoring for things like this again.

We're definitely aware that album art in general is becoming a bigger issue with Jive and the new skin.
