Created attachment 1872 [details] wav, 24 bits, 11025 sampling rate, mono, 440 Hz, 10 seconds

Wallace, I get the same behavior with this bug as bug 4864. Perhaps we should combine all the WAV sample and bit rates that do not play properly into a single bug.
I am able to play these but not at the right rate. Seems a bit faster. SlimServer does identify the proper bit rate and sample rate however. Tested against both 6.5.2 and 7.0a1 with player firmware 76.
Wallace, 20070327: There are pros and cons in combining bugs. The advantage is we have less bugs to deal with. The disadvantage is the bug may not close for a long long time. When half of the issues are fixed on a bug, the bug needs to be kept open for other issues. It gets worse when fixed issue pops back up. it becomes hard to manage.
I found a minor bug in slimserver that could cause this problem. Please retest with trunk r11717 or branch 6.5 r11718.
I see the fix is included in the 6.5 branch. I tried today's build (2007-04-04) on XP. It is version 6.5.2 - 11726. These two tracks are still not playing. The progress bar does not progress at all.
This file format is exceedingly rare in the real world. Pushing this bug out.
Does this format still fail?
Works with SC7 - 16286.
