Description Wallace Lai 2007-03-27 15:14:31 UTC
System Info: Dell Optiplex GX620, Vista SP0 ENU

Steps to Reproduce:
1. On a clean ghost of Vista SP0 ENU, install SlimServer 7.0a1 of build
2007-03-27.
2. Start SlimServer and play some wav tracks of various frequencies and
sampling rates.
3. Notice both mono and stereo wav tracks with 24 bits and 11025 samling rate do not
stream:

Track A: wav, 24 bits, 11025 sampling rate, mono, 440 Hz, 10 seconds, and
Track B: wav, 24 bits, 11025 sampling rate, stereo, 440 Hz, 10 seconds

Wallace, I get the same behavior with this bug as bug 4864. Perhaps we should combine all the WAV sample and bit rates that do not play properly into a single bug.
Comment 4 Spies Steven 2007-03-27 15:49:08 UTC
I am able to play these but not at the right rate. Seems a bit faster.
SlimServer does identify the proper bit rate and sample rate however. Tested
against both 6.5.2 and 7.0a1 with player firmware 76.
Comment 5 Wallace Lai 2007-03-27 17:06:43 UTC
Wallace, 20070327: There are pros and cons in combining bugs. The advantage is we have less bugs to deal with. The disadvantage is the bug may not close for a long long time. When half of the issues are fixed on a bug, the bug needs to be kept open for other issues. It gets worse when fixed issue pops back up. it becomes hard to manage.
Comment 6 Richard Titmuss 2007-04-03 01:53:28 UTC
I found a minor bug in slimserver that could cause this problem. Please retest
with trunk r11717 or branch 6.5 r11718.
Comment 7 Wallace Lai 2007-04-04 18:31:46 UTC
I see the fix is included in the 6.5 branch. I tried today's build (2007-04-04) on XP. It is version 6.5.2 - 11726. These two tracks are still not playing. The progress bar does not progress at all.

This file format is exceedingly rare in the real world. Pushing this bug out.
Comment 9 Richard Titmuss 2008-01-10 12:39:27 UTC
Does this format still fail?
Comment 10 Ross Levine 2008-01-15 15:58:43 UTC
Works with SC7 - 16286.
