Bugzilla – Bug 4862
Cannot stream the following ogg stereo tracks natively. (No transcoding here.)
Last modified: 2008-12-18 11:12:53 UTC
System Info: Dell, Optiplex GX620, Vista SP0 ENU Steps: 1. On a clean ghost of Vista SP0 ENU, install SlimSErver 7.0 of build 2007-03-27. 2. Stream some audio tracks of various frequencies and sampling rates. 4. Most of the stereo ogg files stream fine. 3. Notice the following two stereo ogg tracks do not stream natively: Track a: Ogg, 16 bits, 88200 sampling rate, stereo, 440 Hz, 10 seconds, and Track b: Ogg, 16 bits, 96000 sampling rate, stereo, 440 Hz, 10 seconds.
Created attachment 1867 [details] ogg, 16 bits, 88200 sampling rate, stereo, 440 Hz, 10 seconds
Created attachment 1868 [details] ogg, 16 bits, 96000 sampling rate, 440 Hz, 10 seconds
Richard, I don't think it is critical that we support these sample rates in firmware since I have never seen them in the wild. It would be nice if we did however. Bug 2469 is related.
Marking won't fix until we get some users with this issue.
