Description Wallace Lai 2007-03-26 11:12:36 UTC
System Info:
Dell Optiplexe GX 620, Vista SP0 ENU

Steps:
1. On a clean ghost of Vista SP0 ENU system, install 6.5.2 of build 2007-03-26.
2. During the install process, make sure the button to auto start SLimServer when system boots up is chekced.
3. After the install, click the SlimTray icon to bring up the menu.
4. Notice the menu item "Automatically run log in" is checked, but not "... at system start".

By the way, SlimServer auto started after install, but not after reboot. That is another bug.

I'm noticing some install / SlimTray strangeness under Vista. I'll assign this to myself and I'll post back later tonight with what I find.

Well I've tried a few different ways and I'm not able to reproduce this. When I install 6.5.2 on Vista I'm never seeing the check mark unless I choose an option from SlimTray. I'm making sure to enable auto-start from the installer, and each time I do this there is no option chosen from SlimTray but SlimServer does indeed start automatically after rebooting.

Wallace are you still able to reproduce this? Perhaps it was something intermittent?
Comment 3 Wallace Lai 2007-03-27 08:18:17 UTC
Wallace, 20070327: It was most likely an intermittent bug. I have not seen it before or since. I will continue to keep my eyes open for it.
Comment 4 Ross Levine 2007-03-27 12:59:17 UTC
I think this was intermittent. I'll mark this as invalid for now but keep it on my Vista list as it may be related to one of the other Vista issues we're encountering.

Fixed in 6.5.2, which is now released and available for download at http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html
