Wallace,

I'm confused about step 4, switch the Transporter to a Squeezebox. Are you talking about switching skins within Soft Squeeze, or disconnecting a physical Transporter and connecting a physical Squeezebox?
Comment 3 Wallace Lai 2007-03-22 14:47:12 UTC
Hi, Ross,

I was physically switching from Transporter to SqueezeBox. I found a bug on the Transporter. I wanted to see if the same bug happens on SqueezeBox. This bug popped up after the switch and reboot. The steps had not been isolated. I simply wrote down everything I did to cuase the bug.

OK that makes sense. One more question, 7.0 or 6.5.2? Or both?
Comment 5 Wallace Lai 2007-03-27 08:23:24 UTC
Wallace, 20070327: Oops, that was 7.0a1. I must be kept thinking about trying it on 6.5.2 at the time.

I'm not able to reproduce this. I followed your steps and I'm not seeing the Starting SlimServer failed error. What is strange is it seems that in your case SlimServer was indeed running (item 7 in comment 1) and then you opened SlimServer via SlimTray, this shouldn't really be a problem if the Squeezebox is accessing SlimServer fine.

Wallace have you noticed anything like this since initially seeing this?
Comment 7 Ross Levine 2007-05-18 15:36:00 UTC
This has been quiet for a while now and I'm still not seeing it. If anyone notices this again please feel free to re-open this bug, for now I'll mark it as works for me.

This bug is being closed since it was resolved for a version which is now released! Please download the new version of SqueezeCenter (formerly SlimServer) at http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html

If you are still seeing this bug, please re-open it and we will consider it for a future release.
