SlimServer does not stop
Last modified: 2008-12-18 11:11:58 UTC
System Info: Dell Optiplex GX620 Vista SP0 ENU Steps: 1. On a clean ghost of Vista SP0 ENU, install SlimSErver 6.5.2. 2. Start SlimServer. 3. Play some songs. 4. Stop playing songs. 5. Click the SlimTray icon on TaskBar to pop up a menu. 6. On the pop up menu, select Stop SlimServer. A tooltip for stopping SlimServer should pop up. 7. Wait 5 minutes, or 10. 8. Notice the tooltip for stopping SlimServer is still there. Squeeze box is still on. Songs can stil be played. 9. Try it several more times. Notice slimServer is not stopping.
Verified easily.
Dan, should this be another one to mention to Simon Bernstein if he's going to rewrite Slimtray?
Adding myself as a CC. I'd like to test this against future changes to SlimTray as they happen.
Ross could you have another look at this one, too?
I'm no longer seeing this issue. OK to set to works for me?
I like the bug title though. It makes me think, "SlimServer is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever."
Fixed in 6.5.2, which is now released and available for download at http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html If you're still experiencing this bug, please re-open it!
