Bugzilla – Bug 4781
Playlist for new albums empty after rescanning
Last modified: 2012-02-27 17:33:19 UTC
Recently after adding new music and playlists to Itunes, and rescanning my entire playlists, Slimserver recognizes the album name only....the album playlist is empty. I tried an earlier siuggestion close Slimserver delete prefs delete cache restart Slimserver rescan entire playlists I recently added 2 new albums to my Itunes playlist. After trying the above, in one case I was able to add/see 2 new songs to that particular album playlist...for the other album...nada...still empty. Why would only 2 songs from the album be added to SlimServer? Both albums show up and play correctly in itunes. My SS version is 6.5.1 and I'm on OSX 10.4.8 What gives?

I am not sure what you mean here. When you say "the album playlist is empty" are you referring to the album listing in SlimServer perhaps? > > I tried an earlier siuggestion > > close Slimserver > delete prefs > delete cache > > restart Slimserver > rescan entire playlists > Did you also try a "Clear library and rescan everything"? > > I recently added 2 new albums to my Itunes playlist. > After trying the above, in one case I was able to add/see 2 new songs to that > particular album playlist...for the other album...nada...still empty. > Why would only 2 songs from the album be added to SlimServer? > > Both albums show up and play correctly in itunes. > > My SS version is 6.5.1 and I'm on OSX 10.4.8 > What gives? > I was also wondering if you contacted support with your issue at http://www.slimdevices.com/su_tech.html?
