Description Norm Laskey 2007-02-07 10:27:37 UTC
I am using 6.3.1 and I it does not give me the problem described below, any version greater than 6.3.1 including the nightly of 31 Jan 2007 causes the problem. I have 6 Preset stations with Live365. When I select Presets from the Live365 menu and scroll down to the last preset it says LOADING..... and picks it's own station. If I go back to Preset #1 it is missing. No matter how many presets I have at Live365 once I scroll past the #1 Preset SlimServer removes Preset number one and substitutes it's own Preset in the last position. The other 5 Presets have moved up one position but are Presets I previously selected. If I key back to the Presets menu in Live365 then forward to the Preset list it shows my #1 Preset until I scroll down the the above sequence occurs again. This problem dos not occur if I use the web interface, it's only with Squeezbox or SoftSqueeze.

I have done the following with no change to the problem;
1-tried SlimServer on an Intel MacPro, 15" MacBook Pro, 12" G4 PowerBook, 600Mhz iMac and a Sony Vaio. I get the same problem with all of them.
2-did a factory reset and firmware update
3-completely removed SlimServer and re-installed
4-occurs on a new style squeezebox, and older style and a slimp3
5-tried every version greater than 6.3.1

I have reported this problem in Dec to your Tech Support and was told it is my setup. I find this almost impossible to believe after trying so many computers and the fact it works OK in the web interface and on 6.3.1 . I sent Tech Support my Live365 account into and was told it worked fine on your setup. I am at my wits end trying to get this problem fixed. I am hoping you will be able to help me. Thanks.

Norm, could you list the 6 preset stations that you use with Live365? It may help in trying to diagnose the problem.

Hello,

Attached are the 6 presets I have set. No matter which ones I use or
the number of presets I have I get the same problem.

Thanks Norm. Unfortunately replying to the email from bugzilla will not include attachments. It is always better to add comments and attachments in bugzilla interface. Don't worry about attaching your stations now as I am already seeing the behavior and I am investigating further.

Steven,

I cannot tell you how happy I am to read your last email advising
that you are seeing the behavior. Please do not hesitate to ask me
for anything as I am more than happy to assist in any way I can to
get this issue resolved.

Regards,

Norm Laskey

Comment 5 Spies Steven 2007-02-07 15:43:55 UTC
I get the same behavior that Norm describes using both Slimserver 6.5.1 and Squeezenetwork with player firmware 72 and 27. I changed the Summary to include Live365.

Andy, can you take a look at this and is there any logs I can try to generate that might help?
Comment 6 Spies Steven 2007-03-07 09:00:09 UTC
Andy have you had a chance to look at this one? Should it be assigned to you? Thanks!
