Description Wallace Lai 2007-01-15 10:53:57 UTC
SlimServer and system info:
SlimServer Version: 6.5.1 - 11168 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252
Server IP address 127.0.0.1 (Looks like this is from the host file. It is not the IP connected to SqueezeBox.)
Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt

Steps:
1. On an XP SP2 ENU system, install SlimServer 6.5.1.
2. Connect the SqueezeBox and play a few songs.
3. Reboot the PC.
4. Notice sometimes the SlimTray icon does not show up on the tasksbar after reboot.

Workaround: Double click the SlimServer icon on the desktop.

Have you seen this again since we changed the installer for 6.5.2, Wallace?
Comment 2 Chris Owens 2007-10-23 09:55:24 UTC
Dan confirms that he has seen this as well. Alan notes if a systray task crashes, the icon doesn't go away until you mouse over it, so the crash may not be related to the mouseover per se. Someone notes bug 5201 is also similar.

We need to find a way to reliably reproduce this if possible.

This bug was not seen on XP with build 2007-10-23. Still trying to find a way to reproduce this consistently. So far, this is an intermitent bug.

Not starting hasn't been reported for a while. Feel free to re-open if needed.
Comment 5 Wallace Lai 2008-01-10 15:45:39 UTC
Verified with SqueezeCenter 7.0a1, build 2008-01-07. Bug as written is no longer seen. In fact, have not seen this for a while.
Regressed around and found no bug caused by this fix.
Marking as "VERIFIED".
