Hello

What I would like to see in future releases of slimserver is another way to display the song info on the display of the Squeezebox. The current scroll method, while useful, can look crowded. Example: I have my SqueezeBox displaying TITLE / ARTIST (ALBUM) / GENRE / DURATION. This info, while great, scrolls by and just looks cluttered. Because my Squeezebox is in my family room, I have the display font size to HUGE in order to see the song info.

The proposed addition (selected as an option in the slimserver) would be to display the song info in bits; i.e one piece of info at a time. Take my format settings from above but rather than scroll all of that info, have it display the TITLE for x seconds (set by user in the slimserver config), then clear the TITLE and display ARTIST for x seconds, then clear ARTIST and display ALBUM for x settings, and so forth. This might make for a more attractive way of displaying the song info.

Thanks

William Morgan

PS. I really enjoy my Squeezebox. Friends and family are amazed that I can bring up any song at the touch of button.
