Description Bruce Hartley 2006-12-16 13:49:16 UTC
as discussed in http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24657
I would like the firmware to be updated to allow IR signals to be sent into the headphone socket.

My remote (Marantz RC9200) transmits RF, this RF is output by the receiver as IR.
I would prefer to wire this directly into the squeezebox, rather than use an IR blinker.

Thanks,
Bruce.

This is not feasible because the headphone input logic can not drive an interrupt to the CPU. Electrical IR input is supported in Transporter's hardware, but not on Squeezebox.
