Description Gaspar Barna 2006-11-27 03:55:22 UTC
I use flac + embedded cuesheet for full cd albums, mainly for classical music. I found strange behaviour for the several cuesheet items summarised below. Is it a bug, or a feature? I believe, the first.
There is a header part of cuesheet before the FILE line, and a track part, where I can provide individualinformation for the current track only.

PERFORMER
If it's in the header, I must not use by track, if I use by track, the album can be find under various artist, in the detailed list the artist can be read. So I cannot browse by a track artist.

TITLE
It's ok.

GENRE
COMMENT
They are OK. If I define it in header, it is set for every track, but I can redefine this value by the individual GENRE/COMMENT defined for the current track.

YEAR
I can define it in the header and in the track area. If I redefine the header value in the track, I can browse it, but the song list will be empty. This is a failure.

COMPOSER
CONDUCTOR
ORCHESTRA
A cannot define it in the header, I must copy the same value under every individual track even it is the same value for all tracks.

Please comment it.

Ross, could you try to repro this with slimserver 7.0 pls. 7.0 has a number of CUE sheet improvements.

I wasn't able to reproduce this with 7.0a1 on XP. Gaspar would you mind trying 7.0a1 to see if you're able to reproduce this?
