Description Sean Adams 2006-11-24 10:22:49 UTC
It is confusing and a PITA to have to switch between SN/SS in order to go from, say, Pandora to Browse Music. "Merging" the top level menus from each server, such that either SN or SS provides direct access to all functions, would make it much easier. The new top level would then be:

Now Playing
Favorites
Browse Music
Internet Radio
Pandora Radio
etc.

Both SN and SS would serve the same top-level menu. If the user is connected to SqueezeNetwork and he chooses Browse Music, SB should switch over to the local SlimServer transparently. We may want to maintain both TCP control connections all the time, so that the switch-over is as quick as possible.

Obviously this would require the ability to synchronize basic settings between SN and SS, so that custom menu settings affect both servers.

Andy should I mark this as a dupe of the SN/SC integration bug?

Yeah this is basically already done.
