Bugzilla – Bug 4508
Cannot install - Multiple file source file corrupted
Last modified: 2007-04-27 14:31:37 UTC
I downloaded SlimServer_v6.5.0.exe and attempted to install. The error: C:\Program Files\Audio\SlimServer\server\scanner.exe An error occurred while trying to copy a file: The source file is corrupted. Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip the file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation. [Abort][Retry][Ignore] The files: scanner.exe slim.exe mysqld.exe SoftSqueeze.jar jflac-1.0.jar jsch-20040429.jar mp3spi1.9.2.jar nativeskin.jar xml-apis.jar pagebarlist.html search.html setup.html skinconfig.yml songinfo.html tunein.html xmlbrowser.html xmlbrowser_redirect.html blank.html example.txt home.js main.js stop.gif stop_s.gif stop_s_tan.gif stop_tan.gif subtract.gif transporter_logo.small_tan.gif browserdb.html cmdwrappers_Handheld.html helpfooter.html helpheader.html home.html index.html pagefooter.html pageheader.html album_active.gif random.gif random_active.gif There were about another 7 files but I got tired of clicking and typing.
As noted on the bugzilla main page: Before You Begin Before you file a new bug, please do the following: 1. Try the latest stable nightly build of SlimServer and see if the bug is still there. 2. Search existing bugs that are open OR resolved to see if your issue has already been noticed. Feel free to update bugs you find with additional information you think may be important. 3. If you do file a bug, please include information from the Event Viewer or log files related to the issue so we can find and fix the problem quickly You may also want to contact support@slimdevices.com for some help diagnosing the nature of your problem as clearly were this REALLY a bug, then no one would have installed this version. most likely this is a simple case of a bad download.
Dmitry have you been able to successfully download Slimserver?
Is there a category for "mostly dead" bugs like this, chris? Dmitriy, any feedback would be appreciated.
(In reply to comment #3) > Is there a category for "mostly dead" bugs like this, chris? > Dmitriy, any feedback would be appreciated. > I haven't tried a reinstall since last year. I downloaded that file about 10 times on 4 different computers on 3 different internet connections and kept replicating the same problems on 1 machine. Didnt matter whether it was a network install or install from C drive, kept getting problems. Just may be a random glitch, hardware issue, or a problem, either way, better noted than not.
I agree it's better noted than not. Thanks for putting it in!
