I'd like to server SlimServer the Fishbone skin to my laptop (1600x1200 pixel)
but a smaller one to my Webpad (800x600). The machines could be identified by
either their (fixed) IP adresses or by some HTTP parameter.

You can specify the skin used in the URL. For example:

http://serveraddress:9000/Fishbone/

will bring up the Fishbone skin, no matter what you've set your default to.
