Description Ken Hokugo 2006-11-04 16:42:48 UTC
As the summary shows, I have two CDs, purchased from Japan and the track names are in Japanese, out of more 1000 CDs in SlimServer, and ONLY those TWO does not recognize to have artwork in the directory. Explorer shows the Artwork in the directory and the file is healthy.
Comment 1 Chris Owens 2006-11-13 11:36:09 UTC
Are the file names also in Japanese, or only the track name tags?

Yes, file names as well as tags are both in Japanese.

subset of bug 4485 I suspect.

album art file with Japanese filename

I had to put this in a zip file because Firefox wouldn't upload it otherwise.

Steven could you have a look at this bug on your mac when you get it set up?

I want to see if this is another symptom of bug 2475.
Comment 6 Spies Steven 2007-01-12 17:04:34 UTC
I was not able to reproduce behavior on MacOS X 10.4.
I will try with Windows XP next.
Comment 7 Spies Steven 2007-01-15 11:15:51 UTC
On Windows XP I am not able to get to the point to reproduce the behavior described since bug 2475 prevents the files in question from even showing up in Slimserver.

If I rename the files in question to English they load and display properly in Slimserver. I am not changing the tags which remained Japanese.

At this point I am inclined to agree that this is another symptom of 2475 and I am going to mark it as such.
