Description michael 2004-07-13 16:03:13 UTC
In convert.conf there are two entries for processing flac files. one is designed
for use with cuesheets, but is commented out. (the uncommented version works
fine when no cuesheets are used.)

There is a bug in flac versions 1.1 and earlier that makes the "works with
cuesheets" version less useful. Unfortunately, flac version 1.1 is still the
latest "official" stable release. (This, I assume, is the reason for the
post-1.1 line to be commented out by default currently.)

If a newer version of flac is released, or a binary is included in the
slimserver packaging, we should modify convert.conf to use the
currently-commented out lines as the default.
It looks like there's a flac.exe included in cvs, so it may be feasable to make
this change now.

Dan: what's the status of this?

This change can be made - is it ok for 5.3.1?

flac binaries have been updated to 1.1.1, and the convert.conf updated.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.
