Description Allan Wellenstein 2006-10-30 05:19:00 UTC
Hi, I love my SqueezeBox which I purchased in order to listen to Pandora at home without needing to use my Computer. I wish I could use both a SlimServer AND SqueezeNetwork (I know technically I can but switching back and forth is awkward). It would be great if my favorites could include BOTH my Pandora stations as well as playlists from my SlimServer. (This is more of an aside as I recognize this is not an easy fix.)

Anyway, since my SqueezeBox will mostly be authenticated against SqueezeNetwork, here is my feature request: I would LOVE it if I could choose the local Weather (and forecasts using the remote) for my screensaver. Having the date and time provides no real benefit since, like most people, I already have a number of clocks in my living room (what with the VCR, etc.) I know that there are several plug-ins available for SlimServer that provide this functionality so I would imagine adding a Weather screen saver as a feature to SqueezeNetwork wouldn't be too difficult.

Thanks very much!

Allan

Thanks. I had thought about that too. Although it's certainly a good work-around, it's not really ideal. I have squeezeBox in my living room and having the weather scroll on it all the time is a little too busy for my liking. Have the weather on there like some of the really nice plugins for slimserver I've seen, I think would be a lot more elegant...

Well, 3 votes so far... Not too bad. :)
