Description Rob Funk 2004-07-09 21:48:47 UTC
I had been testing AlienStream, and had used the mkfifo command to create a
named pipe "tmp.wav" in the AlienStream subdirectory of my playlist directory.
When I browsed that directory through the slimp3 or web interface, the server
froze.

When I deleted the named pipe and restarted the server, I could browse just
fine.

So it looks like it would be a good thing to make sure that a file with a
known audio extension is a regular file (or symlink) before trying to read
from it.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
