Description James Rome 2006-10-18 20:06:25 UTC
I have over 20,000 tracks in my collection.
I was just trying to browse my artists. The albums listed were usually for the Previous artist in the list. One was way off--I selected Horowitz and got the albums for Stravinsky!

But if I look on the SlimServer Web page, they appear OK.

Please explain in more detail. What exactly is 'trashed'? What steps are you taking while browsing?
Please consider contacting support@slimdevices.com to get this diagnosed as either a clearly defined bug or a setup problem.

For example, I browsed to Artists. Then I moved to Hummel and hit the right arrow. I then got the albums for Hovhannes. It did this for all the artist selections I tried. But some were even more off. The Hindemith Artist gave me the stravinsky albums!

This is in the player UI only? web ui is fine?
Are you accessing an iTunes library or MusicIP/MusicMagic?
This isn't happening with my system, and I've not heard mention of this type of symptom, so it is hard to know where to start. Tried a complete "clear library and rescan"?
Comment 4 James Rome 2006-10-19 12:08:58 UTC
It has stopped doing it on my system now. I do not use either iTunes or MusicIP/Music Magic.

And yes, it was OK on the web page.

I did a full rebuild two days ago because softsqueeze no longer plays many mp3 tracks (bug 4313). So right now, the 6.5.1 build is pretty much a disaster for me. The 6.5 build was not a lot better, albeit it had a different set of problems.

What format(s) are your tracks in, James? Did you contact support? Did they have any advice? I haven't yet been able to reproduce this issue.
Comment 6 James Rome 2006-10-30 12:11:45 UTC
So far, it has not reproduced itself in the newer 6.5.1 build.
