Description Matthijs Koopmans 2006-10-14 13:13:10 UTC
Hi,

I am running 6.5.1 - 10311 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252, with a Squeezebox 3 running firmware 66, connected via wireless.

Podcasts (all) play fine, but halt at the last 10 seconds of playback. The screensaver that is active during now playing remains visible, without any changes in time or progressbar (the player does not go into idle mode), but all activity of playback or screen is halted.

Response to remote control commnands is normal.

Please message me if you need more information.

Regards,

Matt

bug reports should initially leave target field undefined, for review. thanks.

Do you have any crossfade or fade out setting enabled?
Comment 3 Matthijs Koopmans 2006-10-14 22:31:13 UTC
Hi Chris,

The crossfade option is set to none. Furthermore, when I listen to a podcast, it is usually the only item in the playlist.

Regards,

Matt

I'm not able to reproduce this in recent 6.5.1 builds. Just to make sure, the podcasts you're listening to are mp3 files?

You mention the podcast is the first item in your playlist. How many items are in your playlists? Are they all podcasts or are some of them other kinds of files or radio stations?

The podcasts are mp3 files. When I listen to podcasts i only have one podcast in the playlist. one of them is www.nu.nl/podcast.php

Hi,

Could it be that this was fixed (maybe by accident :smiles:) in the nightly build of Oct 20?

I updated today again and it is running the entire podcast (including the last 10 seconds) in SlimServer Version: 6.5.1 - 10426 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

Player firmware: 67

Regards,

Matt

BTW: being new to this bugzilla: is it expected of me to set the bug to resolved, or should I not be touching this :)

PS: congratulations to you all with the acquisition. I know that these things allow some to get a bit "emotional" at some times (see forums), but it is nothing more (and nothing less) than a reward for all the hard work done in delivering such an outstanding product.

I'll go ahead and mark it 'WORKSFORME' for now. If you or any other user sees these symptoms again, please re-open the bug!

Thanks for your kind words about the acquisition. We're very hopeful here that we can make the most of this change of events.
