Description Michael Herger 2006-10-11 02:25:01 UTC
I just connected my transporter and wanted to show it off at the office. Bad idea! The buttons are all wrong: when I hit "Now playing", the device turns off. brightness -> size. visual -> volume. etc. All buttons seem to call the function of the button to the left of it.

This is with firmware 21.
Comment 1 Michael Herger 2006-10-11 03:07:05 UTC
It's not as consistent as I hoped...

Now Playing -> Power
Brightness -> size
Rew -> add

...and even these do _sometimes_ work. First I thought I might trick it using some kind of double-press, but it didn't help. It's random. Frontpanel: unusable :-(

I'll try an older firmware.
Comment 2 Michael Herger 2006-10-11 03:52:20 UTC
FW 19: same behaviour
FW 18 (official 6.5): dito.

I guess there's something wrong with my box :-(

Comment 4 KDF 2006-10-11 08:24:48 UTC
try factory reset and/or xilinx programming?
they work fine here.
Comment 5 Michael Herger 2006-10-11 08:46:46 UTC
> try factory reset and/or xilinx programming?

Yep, did both of them.
Comment 6 Chris Owens 2006-10-11 10:38:45 UTC
Doesn't seem easily reproducible, could be a hardware issue. Talk to Kevin and/or Dean about a replacement unit or parts.

Comment 7 Blackketter Dean 2006-10-11 10:49:30 UTC
This sounds like a failed unit. :( Not a bug, we'll get you a swap.
