Would it be possible to make the URLs shorter?

Perhaps the super long URL has to do with mx spam filtration as well?  (Just a shot in the dark)

Or maybe it's the fact that there's a URL in the e-mail at all--maybe we could just have an activation code in the e-mail instead of an activation URL?
