Description Jim Willsher 2006-09-30 03:17:21 UTC
Under Server Settings > Behaviour > Compilations I have:

List compilation albums under each artist

and

List albums by all artists for that album

I have an album which Slimserver shows as the following:

Title: 9 To 5
Artist: Dolly Parton
Album: The Eighties Movie Album
Genre: Misc
Track: 9
Compilation: Yes
File Format: MP3
Duration: 2:45
File Length: 6,639,576 Bytes
Bitrate: 320kbps CBR
Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz
ID3 Tag Version: ID3v2.3.0
Location: /slim/music/Various/The Eighties Movie Album/09 - 9 To 5.mp3 (Download)
Date Modified: Tuesday, September 12, 2006, 12:23:49 PM

However, if I click the Dolly Parton hyperlink I get:

0 albums with 0 songs by 0 artists.

and Dolly Parton does not appear in the list of artists.

Slim 6.5.0 on Ubuntu, running on MySQL 5.0.22-Debian_0ubuntu6.06.2. Slim was build from the tarball, and was not installed using the .deb.

I believe this is the same problem as Bug 4252, which occurred in Windows XP rather than Linux.

We're still in the process of trying to find a good workaround for this bug on XP systems, unfortunately.
