Aloha...

As a proud owner of a Slim Device I was musing over the functionality this
morning and came up with a feature that you might consider adding:

Specifically... since each Slim Device is basically an 'internet appliance'
(sure you can use it without the internet - e.g., computer-to-slim, but it
was built to hook to the internet) - that means you could offer SUBSCRIBBERS
an interesting service:

     1) A person who owns a Slim Device could go to your website and turn
on an option marked "MY SLIM HAS BEEN STOLEN".

     2) If 'said slim device' appears to your network (squeezebox) than you
fire off an EMail to the owner with the IP address that the connection
	was from.

This 'feature' should NOT be advertised - it should only be available to people
who purchased a Slim Device. (otherwise, a thief, having stolen one, would
visit your website only to see it had 'theft detection' - a bad idea since
we would want to catch them).

There is not much code involved in implementing the above feature and I
suspect that your customers would find the option very useful (especially
since the same person using a stolen slim device most likely has their other
stolen goods as well).

Hope to see this feature (before I get robbed) :)

Tell him it is actually already possible. If you register all your players with SqueezeNetwork, the Players page displays the last IP each player was connected from.
