Description Mike Househam 2006-09-26 13:33:44 UTC
The problem I have encountered is the popping noise at the beginning of the first track played after switching the squeezebox3 back on after setting the DAC/digital outputs to be turned off at power down. I know the text state this might happen but would it not be better to switch the DAC and digital outputs back on when the system is powered back up and not when you press play? this would cetainly solve the problem as my amp and squeezebox3 are set to switch on at the same time.

Mike the DAC/digital outputs are turned back when the system is powered on, not only when the music starts playing. By powered on/powered off I mean pressing the power button on the remote, not turning off the squeezebox power at the socket.

If you are turning off your amp with the squeezebox I'd suggest that you don't really need to enable the DAC/digital outputs to be turned off at power down setting. This feature is intended for people that have an auto-sensing amp, so that it will automatically turn off (or switch to another input) when the Squeezebox is in power-off mode.

I am closing this bug as invalid, but if you think I've misunderstood you problem or you need clarification please let me know.
