Your attachment didn't make it through to the bug database. Could you visit https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4216 and upload it there?

You're the only one I've seen reporting this and I'd like to take a look.

We did change our apple lossless decoding method, but I've just verified the new decoder seems to be decoding at the correct volume.

Do you have music in other formats that's working okay? Are you using the digital or analog outputs of your Squeezebox?

FLAC working ok in 6.5
using digial output w/ fixed Volume.
re-install 6.3, everything back to normal.

I think there is a bug here, but I am somewhat perplexed that more people haven't reported it. I need to do some more tests on this.

The attached file does have volume adjustment/gain information. Could you double check your replay gain preferences for the player in SlimServer? Player settings -> audio -> replay gain.
Comment 9 Spies Steven 2007-10-22 11:31:50 UTC
Taking a look.
Comment 10 Spies Steven 2007-10-22 12:07:48 UTC
SlimServer 6.5 added the ability to read iTunes Sound Check data which the attached file has at -10.15 dB. To play this file back without reduction of volume set your players 'Volume Adjustment/Replay Gain' option under 'Player Settings/Audio' to 'No Volume Adjustment'. More information can be found at Bug #3207.
